About Our Daycare
Mission Statement: At A Piece of the Puzzle Daycare, we are committed to providing a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop to their full potential. We are dedicated to fostering a love of learning and creating a community that supports children and their families.
Philosophy: Our philosophy is grounded in the belief that every child is a unique individual who deserves to be respected and valued. We strive to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning styles and promotes the holistic development of each child socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.
Curriculum: Our program employs a play-based learning approach, integrating structured activities with modified Montessori, ample free play to encourage creativity and independence. Our curriculum is designed to nurture their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning, structured activities, and collaborative projects.
Our goals are to:
- Foster cognitive development through problem-solving, early literacy, and creative thinking
- Encourage social skills through group play, teamwork, and communication
- Support physical development through outdoor play, fine motor skill activities, and gross motor exercises
Schedule A Tour
At A Piece of the Puzzle, we value consistent schedules because they help young children feel secure and comfortable. Predictable routines positively impact a child's emotional, social, and academic development. In contrast, inconsistent routines can lead to emotional anxiety, stress, and behavioral challenges such as temper tantrums or aggression.
To maintain a calm and structured environment for the children, initial interviews and tours are scheduled outside of normal business hours.
This ensures that we can discuss your questions and concerns in a quiet, focused setting without distractions or interruptions.

Dr. Belinda Sango
FOUNDER
Welcome to A Piece of the Puzzle — a place where all children are included and celebrated!
I am Dr. Belinda Sango, the proud owner and founder of A Piece of the Puzzle. I have dedicated over 25 years to the field of education, and it has truly been my life’s passion. I pride myself on being an educator who believes in the power of nurturing every child’s unique potential.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Special Education, an Education Specialist Degree in Supervision and Administration, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership. Each of these achievements reflects my commitment to understanding and supporting children academically, socially, and emotionally.
As a mother of three — twin daughters and a son — I understand firsthand the importance of a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to grow and thrive. At A Piece of the Puzzle, I combine my professional expertise with my personal experiences as a parent to create a space where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired.

Zalika Goulbourne
Lead Teacher
My name is Zalika Goulbourne, and I’m proud to be a dedicated provider here at A Piece of the Puzzle (APOP). I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and am certified in CPR and First Aid. My journey in childcare began at just 12 years old and has grown into a lifelong passion.
Before joining the APOP team, I owned and operated my own in-home daycare, where I cared for both infants and after-school children. That experience gave me a deeper understanding of early childhood development and strengthened my commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for every child.
At APOP, I have the privilege of supporting children’s growth in all areas—physical, mental, emotional, and educational. I strive to foster curiosity, encourage kindness, and build confidence in each child I work with.
I’m also a proud mother of two beautiful daughters and am currently expecting a baby boy. As both a parent and a provider, I understand the deep trust families place in us. I treat every child as if they were my own—with patience, care, and a whole lot of love.

My name is Eugina, and I’m honored to serve as a Teacher Assistant at A Piece of the Puzzle (APOP). With over 10 years of experience working with children, I bring a deep passion for supporting early learning and creating a nurturing space where every child feels seen, safe, and celebrated.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the joy of working with children of various ages and developmental stages. I believe in meeting each child where they are, helping them grow through patience, encouragement, and hands-on learning. I love being a part of those “aha!” moments and watching children build confidence and curiosity each day.
